W.: Von # und W. schrägrechts getheilt. (8.-G.) Ueber dieses alte thüringische Adelsgeschlecht ist das Wappenbuch des ausgest. Adels der Provinz Sachsen Suppl. S. 23 zu vergleichen. Es war namentlich in der Umgegend von Mühlhausen angesessen. Hans v. W. war 1546 Hauptmann zu Gotha. Sein Siegel zeigt im Sehild: Zwei ins Andreaskreuz gesetzte Beile, dazwischen senkrecht ein Pfeil. .
